DETROIT, Jan. 24 (UPI) -- The Four Tops, 32 sports legends and Super Bowl coaches Bill Cowher and Mike Holmgren will star in a pre-Super Bowl event at Detroit's Fox Theater.
The lineup for"A Detroit Salute" was announced Tuesday by The Detroit Super Bowl XL Host Committee.
ABC Sports/ESPN broadcaster Mike Tirico will emcee the Jan. 30 event that will include performances by The Four Tops, KEM, Kevin Saunderson, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and Mosaic Youth Theatre.
Among the sports legends tapped to attend are Lem Barney, Dave Bergman, Scotty Bowman, Doug Brown, Lomas Brown, Lloyd Carr, Swin Cash, Chuck Daly, Sonny Eliot and Mark Fidrych. Also scheduled to appear are Wayne Fontes, Thomas Hearns, Willie Horton, Vinnie Johnson, Al Kaline, Jimmy King, Bill Laimbeer, Igor Larionov and Ted Lindsay.
Denny McLain, Herman Moore, Jim Northrup, Dave Rozema, John Salley, Barry Sanders, Bo Schembechler, Joe Schmidt, Billy Sims, Emanuel Steward, Larry Tharpe, Lou Whitaker and Charles Woodson fill out the roster.
Tickets will range from $125 to $1,500 with proceeds going to The Greater Detroit Charitable Foundation.
