WINDSOR, England, Dec. 18 (UPI) -- Elton John will reportedly shell out $20,000 for police to keep the peace during his impending nuptials to David Furnish in Windsor, England.
The secret location of the wedding -- Guildhall in Windsor -- was leaked after the couple registered with government officials for their Wednesday union, the first day gay marriages will be legal in the country.
John had said they planned an intimate affair with only their parents present.
After being told by police that the couple would have to foot the bill for added security, a spokesman for the superstar said: "Of course he is happy to pay. He doesn't want to inconvenience anybody," TMZ.com reported.
Following the wedding, the newlyweds will host 700 people at their home for reception.
