'White Christmas' leads to wed

NEW YORK, Sept. 23 (UPI) -- The stars of San Francisco's stage production of "White Christmas" are getting married in New York on the eve of their first rehearsal.

Kate Baldwin will play the Rosemary Clooney role while Graham Rowat stands in for Bing Crosby in the stage version of the popular musical film, Playbill reported Friday.

The couple plans an Oct. 2 wedding, meaning the show will actually be their honeymoon, the stage magazine noted.

"White Christmas" will mark the first time the couple appears in romantic leads opposite each other, Playbill said.

They met during the 2003 Ford's Theatre production of "1776" when he played Richard Henry Lee and she was Martha Jefferson.
