Expert chooses 'catchiest' all time tune

HUDDERSFIELD, England, Sept. 17 (UPI) -- A Huddersfield University professor's mathematical study has concluded "The Ketchup Song" by Las Ketchup is the "catchiest" tune of all time.

Dr. Rupert Tillas's formula to determine a song's "Catchiness Quotient" is based on a number of variables including number of steps in a dance routine, the distance in semi-tones between the highest and lowest notes in the chorus, the number of chords and the amount of promotional dollars spent by the record label, NME.com reported.
