Star injured, show doesn't go on

NEW YORK, July 24 (UPI) -- Not a single New York theater patron sought a refund even though "Fatal Attraction" ended abruptly when its star was hurt during a fight scene.

The play at the East 13th Street Theater is a spoof of the movie with Corey Feldman in the Michael Douglas role and Alana McNair as the spurned lover originally played by Glenn Close.

When Feldman pushed McNair through a prop window Friday night, a piece of flying glass gashed her forehead and as blood poured from the wound, Feldman told the audience the show would not go on.

"Everyone thought he was joking," producer Timothy Haskell told Sunday's New York Post. "No one asked for their money back, though. There was only about 30 seconds left of the play anyway."

McNair was treated at a nearby hospital and released, the Post said.
