LOS ANGELES, July 21 (UPI) -- Co-workers on UPN's "Love, Inc." say fired actress Shannen Doherty was "fabulous" to work with, Zap2it.com reported Thursday.
Executive producer Warren Littlefield and co-star Holly Robinson Peete both said Doherty was professional and well-behaved while filming the pilot and her reputed bad behavior had nothing to do with her being let go from the series.
"Actually, Shannen was fabulous," Littlefield said.
"We had an immediate chemistry and a really good time," Robinson Peete added. "I mean, this is no B.S. We really did. And maybe some of us came into it going 'Ooh, Shannen Doherty. Oh, okay, bad-girl reputation.' But we had so much fun and such a great vibe. ... I was very upset to hear that news. I wish her well, and we all do. We were bummed."
UPN Entertainment President Dawn Ostroff said the network decided to take the character in another direction.
Doherty's replacement has not yet been announced.
