Beach Boys liven capital holiday

LOS ANGELES, July 4 (UPI) -- The nation's fun in the sun group, the Beach Boys, is set to appear in "A Capitol Fourth," the concert PBS will televise Monday night.

While the Beach Boys represent a specific music style, so do others on the guest list, Zap2it.com said.

Gloria Estefan will perform and also receive the National Artistic Achievement Award, along with her music-producer husband, Emilio; recent Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees the O'Jays will croon onstage as well; and Ronan Tynan will show why he's a top Irish tenor.

Also, Erich Kunzel will conduct the National Symphony Orchestra in a tribute to "Star Wars" music, and in the traditional "1812 Overture" finale.
