Audioslave plans U.S. fall tour, album

LOS ANGELES, June 30 (UPI) -- Rock quartet Audioslave is planning an extensive U.S. tour this fall mixed in with studio time on their return from a European swing.

Speaking with Billboard from Helsinki, guitarist Tom Morello said while dates are still being ironed out, the fall outing is expected to begin Sept. 29 and run for two months.

He said fans can expect to hear a number of tunes from band members' past legacies in Rage Against The Machine, such as "Bulls on Parade" and "Sleep Now in the Fire." The group is also reviving material from the grunge supergroup Temple Of The Dog, of which Audioslave frontman Chris Cornell was a primary contributor.

Saturday, Audioslave will play at the Berlin edition of Live 8, which is aiming to influence world leaders to cancel the debt owed to G8 nations by Third World countries.
