Sir Elton flies high in AirTran campaign

ATLANTA, Feb. 8 (UPI) -- Flamboyant rock star Elton John's photograph took flight" with 20 AirTran jets this week to promote the Atlanta-based airline's addition of XM Satellite Radio.

AirTran, whose financial arrangements were undisclosed, said John has more songs played on the 100 XM Satellite Radio channels than any other singer, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Tuesday. AirTran did say it will donate $50,000 to the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

"The traffic controller this morning was calling it Elton One," an AirTran spokesman said of one the 20 jets graced by John's likeness in the marketing campaign.
