Rocket man promos album, uses obscenities

LONDON, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Mega-rocker Elton John unloaded a string of vulgarities during a live British radio show broadcast as he promoted a new album, the Sun reported Tuesday.

Apparently John, who recently made headlines in Taiwan when he directed an obscenity laced tirade at reporters, did not realize the show was live.

But when host Chris Moyles apologized to his listeners for one obscenity, John appeared to mock Moyles' scruples by asking whether a variety of profanities were permissible on the air.

By the end of the interview Moyles had apologized to his listeners several times.
