Jackson supporters blast tell-all book

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 14 (UPI) -- Michael Jackson supporters blasted a book about the singer's 1993 child molestation case, calling the author an opportunist.

A pro-Jackson Web site, www.mjeol.com, has posted rebuttals to claims made by Raymond Chandler in "All That Glitters," a book about the alleged sexual abuse the author's 13-year-old nephew suffered from the pop singer, the New York Daily News reported Tuesday.

The site's headline said "Ray Chandler Provides More Lies," with an article calling the author "the opportunist" and accused him of "defaming Jackson" while presenting "distortions, inaccuracies, one-sided conversations."

The Web site also accused Chandler of leaking information deemed confidential under terms of the reported $20 million settlement between the boy, his parents and Jackson.

Chandler, in an interview Tuesday to promote the book, said he is not held to the confidentiality clause, because he was not a party to the legal agreement, the Daily News said.
