Allan is known throughout Russia for his role as C.C. Capwell in the popular U.S. soap from 20 years ago.

"He is a typical active American and he is interested in playing in this film," said Alexander Izotov, the film's director, on why Allan is right for the documentary.

Izotov plans for the film to show a modern Moscow with Allan visiting official sites, such as the Kremlin and City Hall, as well as a Moscow wedding, the Russian bath and various leisure attractions.

"Our film will be shot as a reality show to absorb viewers in Moscow's world and we shall stake on improvisations," Isotov said.

Earlier this year, Tsar released a documentary, "The Time of Changes," starring Mariel Hemingway.
