Gary Busey terrorizes Swedish TV crew

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, April 7 (UPI) -- U.S. actor Gary Busey pulled a big knife on the crew of the Swedish talk show, "High Chaparall," MSNBC reported Wednesday.

"We had just walked in the door and he pulled out a long machete and said he was going to teach us what fear is," host Filip Hammar told Aftonbladet, said MSNBC.

The paper said Busey then jabbed members of the TV crew, who knew of Busey's struggles with substance abuse, in the crotch area with the knife.

"We were scared to death because we wound up in a situation where we didn't have control any longer. With his background, we didn't know what to think."

Despite Busey's bizarre behavior, the interview went on as planned.

"There grew a strong love and respect," between Busey and the "High Chaparall" host and crew, Hammar insisted.

"Gary Busey showed himself to be one of the most fascinating people we've ever met," he said. "He's the perfect example of how an actor can be pretentious in an entertaining way."
