The 29-year-old actress was seen in a string of off-beat, low-budget films such as "American Psycho," "Demonlover" and "Party Monster," following her 1999 Oscar-nominated performance in "Boys Don't Cry."

In addition to the "Big Love" pilot, in which she will play one of a polygamist's wives, Sevigny has also been cast opposite Ben Kingsley and Annette Bening in the independent feature "Mrs. Harris," financed by HBO, and Lars von Trier's "Manderlay."

She will be seen next month in the film "Dogville."
