LOS ANGELES, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- "Super Millionaire," the sequel to "Who Wants to Be A Millionaire" will premiere Feb. 22 on U.S. TV with a $10 million purse and two new lifeline segments.
Regis Philbin will return as the show's host for a five-night run on ABC, the New York Post reported Wednesday.
"At a certain point, contestants will enter a new dimension of the game, a new world with new lifelines and they'll once again be playing for a staggering amount of money," said Michael Davies, "Super Millionaire" executive producer.
The two new lifelines, "Three Wise Men" and "Double Dip," kick in at the $100,000 level and were added "as an incentive for contestants to go for it," Davies said.
The "Three Wise Men" lifeline will feature a group of three people backstage each night, including journalists, scholars and past "Millionaire" winners, trying to answer questions in 30 seconds.
The "Double Dip" segment will allow a contestant to get two tries at answering a question.
