Nicholson retires as a 'raver'

LONDON, Feb. 2 (UPI) -- Hollywood veteran and wild man, Jack Nicholson, says his "raving days" are over.

The 66-year-old told a London news conference to launch his latest film "Something's Got To Give," he had been "walking pretty slow upstairs for a long time."

The film stars Nicholson as an aging music executive who falls for his new young girlfriend's mother. Diane Keaton, 58, who plays the part, has been nominated for a best actress Oscar. She won a Golden globe for best comedy actress for the role.

According to the BBC, Nicholson admitted to seeing some of himself in his role

"I guess it's got some good pieces of what my life has been like," he said. Nicholson, who has dated a string of attractive young women, added, "All good things come to an end. I'm not much of a raver any more. I think it's unattractive."
