Kramer says 'yes' to 'Seinfeld' DVD

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 26 (UPI) -- Michael Richards, best known as Kramer on the popular sitcom "Seinfeld" has agreed to participate in an upcoming DVD, unlike his co-stars, E! Online reported.

Until now, Richards, along with Jason Alexander and Julia Louis-Dreyfus, had refused to contribute interviews to a "Seinfeld" DVD project because they are unhappy with their financial settlements since the award-winning NBC comedy ended. Additionally, work on projects such as DVDs, provide no residual compensation.

Richards chose to be a part of the project after speaking with Jerry Seinfeld, according to Wednesday's report.

"I'm not boycotting," Richards said. "I'm involved. I was never called to do an interview. I am so for the DVD coming out that I'll go on the Tonight show."

Seinfeld plans to speak with Alexander and Louis-Dreyfus after the New Year about reconsidering, said Elizabeth Clark, who represents Seinfeld.

"He hopes they will participate in the DVD," she said in a statement.
