Petroleum by rail delivery up 7.5 percent for week ending Oct. 5

WASHINGTON, Oct. 11 (UPI) -- The volume of petroleum products delivered on U.S. rail systems for the week ending Oct. 5 was 7.5 percent higher year-on-year, a trade group said.

The Association of American Railroads said Thursday more than 12,600 carloads of petroleum and petroleum products, representing nearly 9 million barrels of oil, were delivered by during the week.
