NEW YORK, July 15 (UPI) -- Blake Lively is enthusiastic about a third Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movie.

The 28-year-old actress discussed the possibility of a new sequel with E! News at the New York premiere of Café Society on Wednesday.

"We would love that," Lively said of herself and co-stars America Ferrera, Alexis Bledel and Amber Tamblyn. "We are such good friends."

"It would have to be something that would really respect and honor the story in a way that makes it worth it to come back after so long," she qualified. "It would have to be a story that has grown with our audience."

Sisterhood opened in theaters in 2005 and was followed by a sequel, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2, in 2008. Lively reunited with Ferrera, Bledel and Tamblyn over the past weekend, sparking renewed interest in the series.

"There is a strong chance there might be a third," the actress told EW Radio in June. "The four of us are still best friends and to be able to create something together again is something that's always been a dream of ours."

Sisterhood is based on the Ann Brashares novel of the same name and earned $42 million at the box office. Lively will next star in Café Society, which opens Friday, and is also slated for All I See is You with Jason Clarke.
