TV actor Omar Gooding arrested

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 24 -- TV actor Omar Miles Gooding and two of his friends were arrested Friday on suspicion of carrying loaded guns while driving and of receiving a stolen firearm, authorities said. The trio are suspected of carrying loaded handguns while cruising in a black Ford Bronco along Sunset Boulevard shortly after 2 a.m. Gooding, 19, who is featured on the TV sitcom, 'Hangin' with Mr. Cooper,' was arrested, along with his two friends, Howard Lundy, 21, and Kerstin Brown, 21.

The three were booked for possession of a loaded firearm in a public place and receiving a stolen firearm, said Deputy Mark Bailey of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. They are each being held on $20,000 bail. One gun's serial number had been removed, indicating it may have been stolen, Bailey said. As the three men were being arrested, some people from a crowd of about 100 at a nearby nightclub began throwing rocks at a patrol car, breaking its back window, Bailey said.
