Three family members found dead

WICHITA, Kan. -- A woman found the bodies of her husband and two daughters in their home Thursday, and police investigators searched the house on the city's east side for clues in the deaths.

Capt. John Dotson said the bodies of Phil Fager, 37, and his daughters, Kelli, 16, and Sherri, 9, were discovered at noon when Mary Fager returned from a visit with relatives.

Mrs. Fager told police she found her husband dead of a chest wound in the upstairs portion of the house. After police arrived, the bodies of the girls were located in a hot tub in the basement.

Dotson said the deaths occurred after noon Tuesday, but he declined to be more specific about how the victims might have died.

Police were searching for a silver Volkswagon Rabbit that was apparently stolen from a garage next to the house.

No motive for the slayings had been established nor had any suspects been identified by late Thursday, authorities said.
