LOS ANGELES -- Los Angeles Dodgers catcher Jack Fimple underwent successful surgery Friday to repair damage to the ulnar nerve in his right elbow, the team announced.

Fimple was bothered by pain in the elbow most of the season. Dr. Frank Jobe, who performed the surgery at Centinela Hospital Medical Center, said Fimple, who was released from the hospital Friday, will be ready for spring training 'without limitations.'
