A service was held Wednesday at St. Andrew's Catholic Church at Wayne State University. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Detroit.

Mrs. Jordan was the youngest of 12 children of the Rev. and Mrs. William Moten. She married Fred Earl Ross in 1942, but they later divorced and she married John Jordan in 1977.

In addition to her husband and Diana, Jordan is survived by two other daughters, Dr. Barbara Lee and Marguerita Ross; three sons, Fred, Arthur and Wilbert; four sisters, a brother and 13 grandchildren.

In a 1973 interview with the Detroit Free Press, Jordan recalled that Diana's rise to fame with the old Motown label took her family out of a housing project and 'put a little money in our pockets.'
