Terms of the settlement announced Thursday were not disclosed.

The 13-year-old Coleman, who plays the pudgy and glib Arnold Jackson on the show, disclosed last September that he would not appear in any more episodes until he got a raise from his salary of $30,000 per segment.

Tandem then filed a breach-of-contract suit against the actor and his parents, seeking $1 million damages and asking the court to forbid him from providing acting services to other companies.

Four segments of the show were filmed without Coleman, but production was suspended last month until the dispute was resolved. NBC-TV officials said the show would be scrubbed if the young star did not return.

Coleman portrays one of two orphaned black brothers who have been adopted by a white New York millionaire who once employed their mother as a housekeeper.
