BARSTOW, Calif. -- Actor Greg Morris, best known for his role in the 'Mission Impossible' television series, was injured Monday night in a traffic accident on a desert highway near the Nevada state line.
Morris, 47, was listed in stable condition Tuesday at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, Nev., suffering from lacerations to his face and upper body.
A hospital spokesman said the actor underwent surgery -- including plastic surgery -- during the night.
California Highway Patrol Officer Les Abbott said the accident occurred about 10:10 p.m. when Morris, who was alone in the car, apparently fell asleep at the wheel and lost control of the BMW, which rolled over twice before coming to rest along a fence.
Morris, who currently appears on the TV series 'Vega$,' was driving from Los Angeles to Las Vegas at the time of the accident. He maintains a home in each city.
