GRUELING GOODWORK

By JOAN HANAUER, United Press International

Mike Dolack played 84 games of racquetball in a grueling, 24-hour Cadillac, Mich., marathon.

He won 81 of the games -- but even more important, he raised $3,500 for a leukemia-stricken friend. Beginning at 7 p.m. Monday, Dolack, 42, played a series of opponents for 25 minutes apiece. He took five-minute breaks between games but otherwise played continuously until 7 p.m. Tuesday. The effort went to pay expenses for Pat Beaudoin, 33, who suffers from leukemia.
