The Sam F. Davis Stakes is an American Thoroughbred horse race held annually in mid February at Tampa Bay Downs racetrack in Tampa, Florida. It is open to three-year olds and is used as a prep race for the Tampa Bay Derby. In recent years it has begun being used as an early prep for the Kentucky Derby. Four winners of the race have gone on to win the Tampa Bay Derby: Phantom Jet (1987), Speedy Cure (1991), Marco Bay (1993) and Thundering Storm (1996).

In 2009, this race was given a Grade III status.. It is run at a distance of 1 1/16th miles (8.5 furlongs) on dirt and currently offers a purse of $225,000.

The race was run in two divisions in 1984.
