IS-linked Somali fighters urge 'lone wolf' attacks in first propaganda video

Dec. 26 (UPI) -- Militant fighters in Somalia affiliated with the Islamic State have called for attacks over the holiday season, in what's believed to be their first propaganda video.

The fighters in the video call on supporters to take advantage of the "drunkenness" over the holiday season and "hunt down" and attack "non-believers," according to the SITE Intelligence Group.

The group video advised "lone wolf"attackers to hit nightclubs, churches and markets, even if children are present.

Islamic State-affiliated fighters are small but growing in numbers in the Horn of Africa.

Last month, two U.S. airstrikes targeted the Somali fighters. About six missiles struck the mountain village of Buqa, located in northern Puntland state.
