ABUJA, Nigeria, March 27 (UPI) -- Nigeria's main candidates for the presidential election are delivering bags of rice to voters in order to rally a last minute push in the poll numbers.

Nigerians began spreading pictures of the bags of rice with the candidates faces on them, encouraging their vote on election day.

Nigeria's President Goodluck Jonathan has had a difficult term in office. After a series of tragic attacks from the terrorist group Boko Haram, Nigeria has launched a major offensive, putting stress on the government.

The two parties have signed a peace agreement to prevent an outbreak of violence following the election. They have also encouraged voters not to resort to violence upon the results of the election.
