LIMA, March 10 (UPI) -- The U.S. justice system won't get a crack at prosecuting Joran van der Sloot, the prime suspect in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway, for another 26 years.
Peru has agreed to send van der Sloot to the United States, CNN reported, but only after he finishes serving the remaining 26 years in his 28-year sentence for killing 21-year-old Stephany Flores in his Lima hotel room.
