BRISBANE, Australia, Nov. 21 (UPI) -- An Etihad Airways flight was forced to make an emergency landing at Australia's Brisbane Airport on Thursday after a flight deck instrument malfunctioned.
Etihad Flight EY473 was making its way from Brisbane to Singapore with 175 passengers aboard when pilots made a mayday call at about 2:50 p.m., local time, the Brisbane Times reported.

A Brisbane Airport spokesman said passengers were rebooked with other airlines.
"The flight crew followed all standard operational procedures, declared an emergency, and made a precautionary landing," he said. "The aircraft landed without incident and all passengers and crew are safe."
