KABUL, Afghanistan, Oct. 9 (UPI) -- At least three Afghan police officers were killed in a suicide bomb attack Wednesday in Afghanistan's Helmand province, officials say.
Local government officials said four civilians were injured, Khaama Press reported.

Shah Muhammad Ashna, a spokesman for the provincial police department, said the attacker, targeting a vehicle of the Afghan police forces, detonated a vehicle packed with explosives.
Provincial security chief Juma Gul Hemat said at least police officers and two civilians were killed in the attack and that four police officers were wounded.
The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
