8 killed in separate incidents in Karachi

KARACHI, Pakistan, March 23 (UPI) -- Eight people were killed in five separate violent incidents in Karachi. Pakistan, on Saturday, officials said.

In Karachi's Lyari area, three people were gunned down at a candy shop by unknown assailants, Dawn News reported.

Then, in another incident, bodies of a man and a woman were found near the Ilyas Goth area. Police said the victims were shot and that the deaths may have been honor-related.

One person was shot and killed in the Zaman Town area of Karachi, and, separately, another person was killed in Liaquatabad's Rizvia Society.

And, in Karachi's Nazimabad No. 2 area, a body was found in a gunny bag. The victim appeared to have been tortured, Dawn News said.
