91 dead in Bangladesh floods

DHAKA, Bangladesh, June 27 (UPI) -- At least 91 people have been killed in the Chittagong, Cox's Bazar and Bandarban districts of Bangladesh following heavy rainfall and flooding, officials said.

Landslides, collapsing houses, lightning and electrocution have caused most of the deaths, Bangladesh News 24 reported.

The Disaster Management and Relief Division of the Ministry of Food and Disaster Management said in a statement each of the families of those killed in the floods will receive 20,000 taka ($249.01).
