iPads, laptops, snacks stolen from Rand Paul's N.H. campaign office

MANCHESTER, N.H., Jan. 28 (UPI) -- iPads, laptop computers and a few snacks were some of the items stolen from Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul's campaign office in New Hampshire.

A suspect or suspects apparently forced in a back door at the Republican presidential candidate's campaign headquarters on Bridge Street in Manchester. The burglary occurred sometime between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 8:30 a.m. Wednesday during closing hours.

"These are tools that we use every day to manage our data, look up voter data and contact our supporters online," Matt Chisholm, Paul's New Hampshire communications director, told WMUR -- referring to the stolen iPads and computers. "The work continues. We're still full phone bank, contacting voters today. We're going to keep chugging."

Chisholm said no sensitive data was taken and that the Paul campaign will replace the stolen items to continue the senator's fight for the Republican nomination for the presidential election.

In total, four iPads, two laptop computers, two cell phones and other small electronic devices, such as cameras and headphones, were stolen, Chisholm told NECN.

Paul will make it back on the main stage for Thursday's GOP presidential debate in Des Moines, Iowa, after he narrowly met the criteria to qualify.
