NEW YORK, March 13 (UPI) -- President Barack Obama had a chance to respond to the sarcastic voice of the American people when he participated in the "Mean Tweets" segment of "Jimmy Kimmel Live."

The segment is when usually entertainment celebrities read mean things people tweet about them. For the president, the American public is a tough crowd and he'd no stranger to critics.

"Is there any way we could fly Obama to some golf course halfway around the world and just leave him there?" He read on one tweet.

"I think that's a great idea," he said.

They also took a shot at the president wearing "dad jeans" to which Obama conceded.

Obama did discuss serious matters as well during the appearance.

Speaking on the shooting of two police officers in Ferguson, Mo., he said those who shot the officers "detract" from the issues brought to the national spotlight after the shooting of Michael Brown.
