AUSTIN, Texas, Jan. 30 (UPI) -- Texas Gov. Greg Abbott on Friday declared Feb. 2 "Chris Kyle Day" in honor of the slain Navy SEAL who is the subject of the film American Sniper.
Monday will be the second anniversary of Kyle's death. Kyle and friend Chad Littlefield were allegedly gunned down by Eddie Ray Routh, an ex-Marine the two had taken to a shooting range in an effort to help him with post-traumatic stress disorder.
