Woman in lingerie tries to run over police in department store parking lot

The 45-year-old had allegedly been sleeping in the department store parking lot for days.

BOCA RATON, Fla., July 25 (UPI) -- Police in Florida say a woman dressed only in lingerie tried to run them over when they requested she not sleep in her car in a public parking lot.

According to Boca Raton police, local Nordstrom employees reported a woman had been sleeping in her car for several nights in the department store's parking lot.

When officers responded, 45-year-old Suzanne Morales was indeed asleep in her car, wearing only a teddy as she rested in her front passenger seat.

Morales woke up when police knocked on her window and immediately locked the car doors. Police told her that she could not sleep there and asked her to step out of the car. Morales refused and tried to flee in the vehicle as officers tried break through one of her windows.

Morales attempt to escape was in vain as she nearly backed over of the responding officers before crashing her vehicle into a police cruiser, trapping herself.

Police still had to break a window to get to Morales, who reeked of alcohol upon apprehension.

Morales was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and obstructing an officer without violence. She is being held on $10,000 bail.
