HYANNIS PORT, Mass., July 16 (UPI) -- A Massachusetts man wearing a Captain America shirt who was said he was searching for Katy Perry was arrested after he allegedly broke into the Kennedy Compound in Hyannis Port Tuesday night.
James Lacroix is accused of breaking into the home of Ted Kennedy Jr. and spending about three hours in the house. Kennedy, who is running for Connecticut state Senate, was not home during the break-in.
Kennedy called to check in with his teenaged son and a man who identified himself as James Lacroix answered the phone. Kennedy called police and they found the suspect in the kitchen. The teenager was home at the time, but he was unharmed.
When the 53-year-old was questioned by police, Lacroix said that he was looking for Katy Perry in the compound.
Lacroix has been charged with breaking and entering.
