One victim died at the scene; the other died at the hospital. Up to seven people were taken to the emergency room, while other wounded residents took themselves.

"My son got shot," resident Wanda Johnson told local Fox affiliate WSVN.

"I'm trying to just keep it together, because, it's like unbelievable. I just figure they ain't got no heart, no conscious. How could you do something so tragic to somebody else?"

Although police are not speculating a motive, local law enforcement suspects this was a targeted shooting, according to the Miami Herald.

"We're early on into this investigation as to a motive, as to why this incident occurred and we're asking anyone that witnessed anything, that heard anything, between those hours of this morning, to please contact our Miami homicide units or Crime Stoppers," Miami Police PIO Frederica Burden told reporters.

"At this point, we are not going to speculate as to what happened on the scene. Investigators have been here since 2 and we're just going to give them their chance to do what they need to do to find out why this occurred."
