JACKSON, Miss., June 17 (UPI) -- KFC has donated $30,000 toward medical bills for the 3-year-old girl kicked out of one of its Mississippi locations because her scars were "disrupting" customers.

Victoria Wilcher, 3, was visiting her grandfather in April when his three pit bulls broke out of the back door and began mauling her, causing her to lose an eye and paralyzing the right side of her face.

KFC received backlash after Victoria and her grandmother, Kelly Mullins, were asked to leave and said they would investigate the incident. In addition to the donation from the restaurant, a GoFundMe account created to help her family pay for medical treatments has raised almost $106,000 as of Tuesday morning.

A Facebook page created for her has also reached more than 134,000 "likes." Victoria's family said she is still an optimistic and happy child.
