OMAHA, June 3 (UPI) -- Hail as large as baseballs pelted Nebraska towns on Tuesday, with forecasters warning of severe thunderstorms and possible tornadoes from South Dakota to Illinois.
Omaha, Neb., is one of the largest metro areas in the path of the storm. KETV reported heavy traffic in the city, as residents hurried home to escape the severe weather.
Social media users took to Twitter to share photos of large chunks of hail hitting their cars and homes.
