Four boys found living in filth in Georgia; three adults arrested

AUSTELL, Ga., Jan. 7 (UPI) -- Three adults were arrested after four brothers, 8, 12, 13 and 14, were found living in filth and in need of medical attention near Austell, Ga., police said.

A Cobb County police arrest report said the unidentified boys were found in a home infested with lice, roaches and spiders, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Tuesday.

The boys each had decayed teeth, did not attend schools and lacked communications skills needed to be interviewed, police said, adding the eldest had a foot injury that will require surgery, and none of the adults in the home sought medical attention for him.

The boys' mother, uncle and another resident of the home were arrested Saturday.

Jennifer Ruth Hollis, 52, Robert Lee Hollis, 37 and Tony Darrin Elmore, 53, were each charged with four counts of first-degree child cruelty, booking records said. All three remained in Cobb County Jail on $100,000 bond each.

Elmore, a registered sex offender, is a convicted felon who spent over four years in prison after a rape conviction, Georgia Department of Corrections records said.
