3 charged with endangerment for allowing toddler to smoke marijuana

MAYVILLE, N.Y., Dec. 15 (UPI) -- Parents and a grandfather of a 23-month-old allegedly allowed the toddler to smoke marijuana, authorities in Mayville, N.Y., reported.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff's office said the three suspects encouraged the child to smoke a lit bowl on Dec. 5 at their home.

The parents, Jessica Kelsey, 17, George Kelsey, 18, and the grandfather, Don Baker, 54, have been arrested and charged with child endangerment and reckless endangerment, WGRZ, Buffalo, N.Y., reported.

They were arraigned on the charges and sent to Chautauqua County Jail on $10,000 bail each.

The child and another sibling are now in the care of Child Protective Services, WGRZ reported.
