Pakistan's Sharif arrives in D.C. for talks

WAS, D.C., Oct. 20 (UPI) -- Pakistani Prime MInister Nawaz Sharif landed in Washington Sunday for a four-day visit and talks with U.S. officials.

Geo News said Sharif will be meeting with U.S. President Obama and other officials. A meeting with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry was scheduled at the State Department.

Sharif was accompanied by his wife and a Pakistani delegation.

Speaking to reporters in London, Sharif said, "Pakistan's policy on all matters is clear and we have nothing to hide or be shy about. We want to work with the U.S. and other world powers as a responsible country," Geo News reported.
