WASHINGTON, Oct. 3 (UPI) -- There was no announcement but U.S. President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama appeared set to celebrate their anniversary at the White House Thursday.

The Obamas celebrated their 20th anniversary in 2012 with dinner in Washington's Georgetown neighborhood -- three days after their anniversary, because the president was busy that day debating Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney.

When the couple celebrated their 19th anniversary in 2011, it was two days ahead of the actual date. In 2009, their first year in the White House, the Obamas celebrated their anniversary on the actual date -- with a private dinner at a Washington restaurant.

The Obamas evidently did not have a special anniversary celebration in 2010.
