DALLAS, Sept. 11 (UPI) -- A Dallas-area woman described as a wealthy socialite has pleaded guilty to producing and distributing child pornography for more than a decade.
Erika Susan Perdue, 42, pleaded guilty Tuesday in federal court to a single count of transporting and distributing child pornography, the Fort Worth (Texas) Star-Telegram reported. She faces as much as 14 years in prison, a substantial fine and $5,000 in restitution to a victim identified only as "Vicky" under her plea agreement.
Perdue became a target of an FBI investigation after an agent checking out a public file-sharing site discovered a supplier who used the name Classybitch. The supplier allowed the agent and a colleague to view online folders of child pornography, and was eventually identified as Perdue.
The mansion where Perdue and her husband lived in the Dallas suburb of University Park was raided in April 2012.
Perdue is scheduled to be sentenced in January.
