HOOD RIVER, Ore., July 24 (UPI) -- A 10-year-old boy who fell 50 feet from Oregon's Mount Hood Wednesday was airlifted to a hospital, where a spokeswoman said he was in serious condition.
Cole Hancock fell down an embankment while hiking with his father, Kim Hancock, near the base of the mountain, said Hood River County Sheriff Matt English. He said Kim Hancock carried his son back to their camp site and awaited rescue.
