FORT WORTH, Texas, July 2 (UPI) -- The body of a young girl was found under a tarp in the middle of a residential street in the Fort Worth, Texas, suburb of Saginaw, police said.

Residents who spotted the body told KXAS-TV, Fort Worth, that the child's legs or feet had been tied together and she appeared to be only three or four years old.

A red pickup truck with a splash of green paint on the rear panel of its passenger side was spotted in the area just before the body was found.

Authorities are searching for the vehicle.

The FBI and the Texas Rangers have been asked to help investigate, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported. "This is a very quiet neighborhood," said police spokesman Damon Ing.
