Eleven Florida middle school students hospitalized after bus crash

OPA-LOCKA, Fla., April 29 (UPI) -- Eleven Opa-Locka, Fla., students were hospitalized after a car rear-ended the school bus in which they were riding Monday morning, a school spokesman said.

The bus was carrying 13 students to Palm Springs Middle School in Hialeah when it was struck, Miami-Dade County School Board spokesman John Schuster said, adding no one was seriously injured.

The name of the driver of the car was not immediately available.

The students were taken to four area hospitals, The Miami Herald reported.
